Anchor Scripture
"Come now therefore, and I will send thee unto Pharaoh, that thou mayest bring forth my people the children of Israel out of Egypt." — Exodus 3:10
Have you ever wondered:
"God, what is my purpose?"
"How do I know what you've called me to do?"
If so, you're not alone.
Moses asked similar questions.
He wasn't standing on a stage or leading a nation when God called him. He was tending sheep in the wilderness, far from the palace where he once lived. He likely thought his greatest opportunities were behind him.
Yet God had not forgotten Moses.
And God has not forgotten you.
At BTArtist Creation, we believe God gives every person unique gifts, talents, and experiences to serve others and glorify Him. Your calling is not about becoming someone else—it's about becoming who God created you to be.
Here are four ways to recognize your God-given calling.
1. God Often Places a Burden on Your Heart
Before Moses was called to lead, he cared deeply about the suffering of his people.
Sometimes your calling begins with what moves your heart.
Ask yourself:
What problems do I want to help solve?
What needs do I notice?
Who do I feel called to encourage?
Your burden may be connected to your purpose.
God often gives us compassion for the people He wants us to serve.
Scripture:
"Delight thyself also in the Lord; and he shall give thee the desires of thine heart." — Psalm 37:4
When your heart aligns with God, He begins shaping your desires according to His purpose.
2. God Uses the Gifts He Has Already Given You
Moses focused on what he lacked.
He said:
"I am not eloquent..."
But God reminded him:
"Who hath made man's mouth?" — Exodus 4:11
God wasn't asking Moses to become someone else.
He wanted Moses to trust the gifts and abilities God had already given him.
The same is true for you.
Your creativity.
Your experiences.
Your compassion.
Your ability to encourage others.
None of these are accidents.
God can use what He's already placed inside of you.
3. God Calls You to Bless Others
Your calling is bigger than personal success.
God told Moses:
"I have surely seen the affliction of my people..." — Exodus 3:7
Moses' assignment was connected to people.
Likewise, your gifts are meant to bless others.
At BTArtist Creation, we believe creativity is not only an expression of talent—it is an opportunity to encourage, inspire, and point people toward God.
Ask yourself:
Who benefits from my gifts?
How can I use what God gave me to serve others?
Does my work reflect God's love?
Purpose grows when it is rooted in service.
4. God Calls You to Trust Him One Step at a Time
Moses didn't receive every detail of his journey.
He received an invitation:
Trust Me.
God rarely shows us the entire path.
Instead, He invites us to walk with Him daily.
You may not know every step of your calling right now.
But you can trust the One who knows the end from the beginning.
Scripture:
"Trust in the Lord with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths." — Proverbs 3:5-6
God's direction often becomes clearer as we obey Him.
Final Encouragement
If you're asking,
"How do I know my God-given calling?"
Start here:
Seek God first.
Pay attention to the burdens on your heart.
Use the gifts He's already given you.
Look for opportunities to bless others.
Trust Him with the next step.
Remember, Moses didn't feel qualified.
He felt afraid.
Yet God chose him anyway.
Your calling is not based on your perfection.
It's based on God's purpose.
At BTArtist Creation, we believe God created you intentionally, gifted you uniquely, and placed a purpose inside of you that can impact lives for His Kingdom.
Don't wait until you have all the answers.
Walk by faith.
Use your gifts.
And trust that God will reveal your calling as you continue to follow Him.
